Jalandhar, 2 August(STN)– Deputy Commissioner Special Sarangal today informed that as per the instructions of the Punjab Government, 17 more Aam Aadmi Clinics are being started in the district on the occasion of 77th Independence Day, preparations for which are being completed at a fast pace.
In this regard, participating in the meeting organized through video conference under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anurag Verma, the Deputy Commissioner said that the work of setting up 17 more Aam Aadmi Clinics in Jalandhar district is being expedited, which should be completed on time. He informed that out of these centers being set up in the district, 13 centers are being set up in buildings, while porta cabins are being used for common man clinics at 4 places. He said that in congested areas, where buildings for centers are not available, health services would be provided using porta cabins.
He said that necessary repairs and other arrangements are being made in all the buildings related to Aam Aadmi Clinic.
He said that instructions have already been issued to the concerned authorities regarding the timely completion of the newly established Aam Aadmi Clinic and the SDMs have been asked to ensure personal monitoring of the work. So that people can get the best health services as soon as possible. He said that the administration of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann would leave no stone unturned to provide quality health services to the people of the state closer to their homes.
In this meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Major Amit Mahajan, Civil Surgeon Dr. Raman Sharma, District Family Welfare Officer Raman Gupta and other officers were present.
