Jalandhar, November 6(STN): In its spree to provide jobs to the unemployed youth of the district, 91 youths were shortlisted for the jobs by various companies during an employment fair held at Basti Peer Daad.
The camp was inaugurated by the Lok Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Rinku.
During the job fair organized by the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise, 125 youth applied for various jobs of which 91 were shortlisted by leading companies including Paytm Services Private Limited, LIC India, HDFC Bank, Phonepe, Axis Bank, Solar First Energy Private Limited, Key 2 Success and others.
Complimenting the successful youth, the Lok Sabha MP said that it was a historic day for them as they were going to start a new inning in their lives. He said that many more such job fairs would be organized in coming days to offer employment opportunities to the youth.
He said that district administration was already on task of roping in key Industrial Units and leading entrepreneurs to provide job to the youth. He said that the job fairs were being organized on the directions of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to provide jobs to every youth of the state.
