BJP’s have no ground in Punjab, they’re inducting drug mafia people to their fold: AAP leader Rajwinder Kaur Thiara

Jalandhar, April 13 (STN): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed that the BJP has no ground in Punjab and no one wanted to fight Jalandhar by-election for them. That’s why they’re fielding a candidate who is an outsider, who is not even aware of the issues of Jalandhar and has no connection with the people of Jalandhar.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, AAP Punjab secretary Rajwinder Kaur Thiara said that with Rinku Atwal another former youth akali dal leader Parshotam lal Sondhi joined the BJP. He was arrested from Amritsar airport with 23kgs of heroin on march 23, 2008, was found guilty in the court and sentenced for 12 years. He challenged this decision in Punjab and Haryana High court where he was again found guilty and got 10 years of sentence. She added that BJP’s condition in Punjab is so bad they’re inducting drug smugglers in their party.

Thiara said that the people of Punjab are wise and have always rejected the BJP. She said that BJP troubled our farmers on purpose and they sat on the borders of Delhi for more than a year in all kinds of challenging weather. She said that people in villages are not even entertaining the BJP leaders and now they’ve brought an outsider for Jalandhar by-election who isn’t even aware of the issues of the people here .

Addressing this press conference MLA Balkar Singh said that the people of Punjab don’t trust the BJP. That’s why no one wanted to fight this election for the BJP. He claimed that the AAP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku will register a huge win in this election because the Mann government is working since day one and people are really impressed by the pro-people policies of our national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

Rajwinder Kaur Thiara and Balkar Singh were accompanied by MLA Sheetal Angural and MLA Raman Arora in this press conference.
