Phillaur /Jalandhar, September 4(STN): Punjab Employment Generation and Training Minister Aman Arora on Monday exhorted the people to follow the life and teachings of Lord Krishna to live a happy and successful life.
Participating in the shobha yatra organized on the eve of Janam Ashtami after paying obeisance at Shree Radha Krishna Pathshala Temple Phillaur, the Minister said that the festival of Janmashtami was celebrated across the nation with traditional fervor and enthusiasm. He called upon the people to imbibe Lord Krishna’s message of love and compassion of oneness and work together to take our state forward.
Exhorting the people to celebrate the festival collectively with religious fervour and gaiety, Arora hoped that this auspicious festival would bring harmony and prosperity in our lives and strengthen the ethos of compassion, service and righteousness in the society.
The Cabinet Minister also said that the divine message of Lord Shri Krishna was in the holy book Srimad Bhagavad Gita for the welfare of mankind. He said that the teachings and philosophy of Lord Shri Krishna were always relevant.
Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Chairperson Rajwinder Kaur Thiara and representatives of temple management committee.
