Jalandhar/Kartarpur, September 22(STN)– Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh and Punjab Waqf Board Administrator ADGP MF Farooqui on Friday handed over a cheque of Rs 11 lakh for development works in Kartarpur Madina Mosque.
Balkar Singh, the Cabinet Minister said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was committed for the welfare of every section of the society and top priority was accorded to the timely completion of all development works. He said that every effort was being made by government to ensure last person in the row get benefit of the welfare schemes and programs.
Punjab Waqf Board Administrator ADGP MF Farooqui said that several development initiatives were already taken up in the state. The development projects for the mosques are progressing and the demands put forth by the Muslim community are also being fulfilled. He said that formalities were already begun to buy land worth Rs 40 crore to establish medical college in Malerkotla. He also said that a grant of Rs 13.65 lakh was being spent on the development of graveyard in Nakodar
