Jalandhar, August 22- Civil Surgeon Dr Raman Kumar Sharma on Tuesday took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the flood-hit people living in temporary shelters in Nall village of the district.
Sharma said that 202 people were living in 93 tents in the grain market of the village. He enquired about the well-being of the people and took feedback on the medical facilities being ensured to them by health teams.
He said that following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal, health teams were conducting survey daily in these tents and giving medicines to the people found affected by any ailment.
The Civil surgeons also motivated them to ensure drinking clean water and ensure removing of stagnated water in their areas to prevent dengue and other diseases. He also asked SMO Lohian Dr. Sonu Pal to ensure daily screening of the people living in these accommodations and shift the patient to a nearby hospital if found serious.
