Jalandhar, August 23: Deputy Commissioner Mr. Vishesh Sarangal on Wednesday appointed nodal officers to make elaborate arrangements for the successful organization of the Kheda Watan Punjab Diyan-2023 ( second season ) in Jalandhar.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Major Amit Mahajan will be nodal officer for overall arrangements besides Assistant Commissioner (UT) Irwin Kaur as assistant nodal officer for the smooth conduct of the state-level matches being held from October 1 and 6 under season-II of Kheda Watan Punjab Diyan-2023.
The matches of Hockey, Athletics, and Equestrian games will be held in Burlton Park, PAP, and Sports College.
Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal while divulging further details said that Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Major Amit Mahajan with his team would survey the sites well in advance where matches would be held.
He said that the team would also ensure adequate arrangements of housing, medical facilities, security, transport, sanitation, public convenience, changing rooms (Boys/Girls), and others by co-coordinating with Municipal Corporation, Police, PWD, and Rural Development and Panchayats. He also asked the officials to ensure all the players must not face any inconvenience during entry at the event.
Sarangal also appealed to interested youngsters to register themselves on the portal www.khedanwatanpunjabdia.com for taking part in these games.
