Jalandhar , 16 October(STN): District magistrate cum Deputy commissioner Mr. Vishesh sarangal has ordered that Jurisdiction of Jalandhar has been declared as “No Drone Zone” and flying of drones and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAVs) shall be strictly prohibited with immediate effect .
Exercising his powers , conferred upon by section 144 of criminal procedure code 1973, DM also ordered that the ban will remain effective till next three months from today .
He also made it clear that police and armed forces involved in maintaining law and order and utilizing the UAV/Drones for same purpose would have to intimate the DM office prior deploying UAV/Drones .
The commissioner of police and SSP Jalandhar Rural shall ensure implementation of this order .
