Jalandhar, July 6 (STN): On the auspicious birth anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of the nationalist leader who sacrificed his life for the unity and integrity of India, a program was organized under the chairmanship of Sushil Kumar Sharma, President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Jalandhar. The event was organized in which General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab and former Chairman Scheduled Caste Commission Punjab Rajesh Bagha was specially present. He paid his respects to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
Rajesh Bagha said on the occasion that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was the first among the prominent BJP leaders to abolish Article 370 in Kashmir or initiate the debate on it. Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was such a person who raised the voice of unity and integrity of the country first after the independence of the country. Dr. Mukherjee was born on this day, July 6, 1901 in Kolkata. Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee separated from Jawaharlal Nehru and founded the Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1991. He opposed 2 prime ministers in Kashmir at that time. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee started opposing Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. They gave slogans like two legislations in one country, two marks in one country, two leaders will not work in one country.
Rajesh Bagha said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has paid true tribute to Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee by abolishing Article 370 and 35A from Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Mukherjee started a mass movement and entered Kashmir without a permit. He was arrested by the then Kashmir government and died under mysterious circumstances on 23 June 1953. Bharatiya Janata Party celebrates this day as Sacrifice Day. Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee was a patriot and proud nationalist and he dedicated his life for the unity and integrity of India. His passion for a strong and united India inspires us and gives us the strength to serve 130 crore Indians.
Sushil Sharma, Secretary Anil Sachar, General Secretary Ashok Sarin Hickey said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was a great hero who dreamed of a united India. He expressed his gratitude to all the people who attended the program and paid tribute to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the founder president of Jansangh, on his birth anniversary. Sahibi Anand said that Mukherjee was a great educationist and thinker and inspired by his thoughts, the party workers are on the path of nation building. This is the victory of their sacrifices and struggles. After the independence of the country, Congress has done petty politics of appeasement in the country.
