Excise department confers ‘Inspector of Month’ award to 10 for exemplary work in Mission Red Rose

Move aims at encouraging field officers to further intensify their efforts against bootlegging: Deputy Commissioner Excise

Jalandhar, April 19-(STN) In a step to recognize the exemplary work in Mission Red Rose started to eliminate illicit liquor from state, the excise department on Monday felicitated 10 of its officials with ‘Inspector of the Month’ awards falling in Jalandhar Zone.

In a simple but impressive function, Deputy Commissioner (Excise) Jaspinder Singh, Assistant Commissioners Pawanjit Singh, Ms Harsimrat Grewal, Hanuwant Singh honoured excise inspector Gulzar Masih, Harwinder Singh from Gurdaspur, Tarlochan Singh, Manohar Lal from Hoshiarpur, Ran Bahadur from Kapurthala, Jatinder Singh from Tarn Taran, Navtej Singh and Avtar Singh from Amritsar Gautam Gobind and Resham Lal from Jalandhar.

Deputy Commissioner (Excise) Jaspinder Singh said that all of them have work overnight under Red Rose Mission and have made huge recoveries of illicit liquor besides taken strict against the persons indulged in this illegal trade.

He said that the mission has been launched to wipe out illicit liquor from the state by keeping a close vigil in association with police department.
Singh motivated the inspectors to continue to show such commitment and zeal towards their duties.
