Jalandhar, September 12(STN)- A member of the Punjab State Food Commission Chetan Parkash Dhaliwal inspected midday meal in various government schools and Anganwadis centres.
The Member visited Govt Girls Senior Secondary Smart School, Govt Primary Smart School, Govt High School in Mehatpur, Govt Primary Smart School, Shahpur, Govt Primary Smart School, Khanpur, MG Arya girls Senior Secondary School, Govt Elementary School, Govt High Smart School in Apra, Anganwadi centres in Moran, Rasoolpur and various depot holders.
Dhaliwal took stock the storage of grains, cleanliness and other facilities during the checking. He asked the authorities to maintain proper hygiene at Mid day meal kitchens. He also asked them to ensure quality food to expecting women and lactating mothers at anganwadi centres. He directed the authorities to make sure the health check up of students twice a year. He also interacted with the Mid meal staff and asked them to undergo health checkup regularly. He also asked the staff to put the banners regarding government’s schemes of mid day meal properly.
