Jalandhar, July 12(STN)– On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal health department has deployed over 24 mobile teams to provide seamless healthcare services to the people in flood affected localities. Giving more information, Civil Surgeon Dr. Raman Sharma said that these teams have been camping in the flood-affected areas and conducting health examinations of people suffering from various health issues. He mentioned that the teams have so far conducted health check-ups of as many as 377 patients and administered free-of-cost medicines to them. He said that the department is laying emphasis to keep people from water borne diseases which generally arises from stagnant water.
Likewise, a well equipped Mobile Medical unit Ambulance has been permanently stationed at Relief Camp site at Lohian which is serving affected villages.
