Phillaur, 23 October 2023(STN): A young man was murdered in Bilga near Phillaur. According to the statement given to the police, Mahinder Kaur wife of Charan Singh said that last night at around 8 o’clock she came to know that her son Jagdeep Singh Jaggi was being beaten at the graveyard Patti Bagga Puadra Road. When she reached the spot, Harjinder Singh was with her, as she reached the spot she saw that Chandan Kumar alias Chandi was hitting Jaggi on the head with a base bat and Jaggi fell down. During this time, Gurpreet, Sajan, Jaskaran and Sahil were also attacking him with bats and other weapons. Jaggi suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Nurmahal for treatment, where doctors declared Jaggi brought dead.
While telling about the incident it was said that earlier also there was a minor dispute between the two parties regarding the motorcycle. Some relatives of the dead Jaggi, told that two boy came to their house and threatened that they will kill Jaggi. The mother of the deceased said that her son did not do bad things to anyone. The family members demand that action be taken against those people who are involved in the death of their son. Sub Inspector Anbar Masih of Bilga police in this regard said that a police team has been formed and appropriate action will be taken. Currently a searching team has been formed to investigate the case.
