Jalandhar, 7 November(STN): In village Mianwal Malviya of Jalandhar, unknown people entered the house and killed a young man. The deceased has been identified as Suraj Kumar alias John. In his statements given to the police, Mianwal Malviya resident Ajay Kumar told that he has been living in Nakodar for 3 months. His younger brother Suraj Kumar alias John lived in village Mianwal Malviya along with his family. 10 days ago his wife got angry and went to her house. Surya’s 3 children live with his aunts’s son. Ajay told that when he came to the village to meet his mother at around eight o’clock on Monday morning, he saw that the door of Suraj’s house was open. When we went inside, we saw that Suraj Kumar’s body was lying on the sofa soaked in blood and his head had been attacked with a sharp weapon.
Ajay told that he called aunts’s son to the spot and when there was noise, the people of the village also gathered. On receiving information, police also reached the spot. In this regard, DSP Shahkot Narinder Singh Aujla, DSP (D) Surinderpal Dhogari and SHO Jaswinder Singh said that Suraj Kumar was alone in the house when the murder took place. He said that a dog squad has been called from Jalandhar and every aspect of the murder is being monitored. The footage of CCTV cameras installed in the village is being checked so that any clue can be found. Police have registered a case under section 302 against unknown people and sent the body to Nakodar government hospital for post-mortem.
