Jalandhar,, September 4(STN): To review the progress of various developmental projects carried out by Municipal Corporation, Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh on Monday undertook an extensive site visit of several locations across the city and directed the officials to ensure timely completion of all ongoing projects.
The Minister reiterated that there should be no compromise when it comes to quality standards and asked the officials to keep close vigil on the functioning of the contractors who are carrying out the works so that quality cannot be compromised at any cost.
Accompanied by Chairperson Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, MC Commissioner Rishi Pal Singh, the Minister said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was committed for the overall and planned development of the city. The Minister said that he was taking stock of projects on daily basis.
Meanwhile, the Minister also interacted with the people in Urban Estate area and listened to their problems where he issued on the spot directions to officials concerned to resolve them
