Punjab government committed for all-round development of the state- Balkar Singh

Jalandhar, July 3 (STN)- Chief Minister Punjab and head of State Governmnet Bhagwant Mann will leave no stone unturned in the all-round development of villages and cities in Punjab. This was stated by Punjab’s Local Government and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Balkar Singh while inaugurating development works worth Rs 21 lakh in different villages of Kartarpur Vidhansabha constituency.

Addressing the gathering of village residents on the occasion, Local Government and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Balkar Singh said that the Punjab government is committed for all-round development of the state. He said that the state government was providing modern infrastructure like cities to the villages. Minister Balkar Singh said that the state government has no dearth of funds for rural and urban development. He asked the panchayats of the villages to complete the development works started in the villages in a timely manner and send estimates for new development works, so that more development funds could be released for this.

He started sewerage work in village Patti Kahanpur at a cost of Rs 9 lakh and in village Raowali at a cost of Rs 12 lakh. He said that orders have already been issued to the officers to complete the development works started in the villages on time and with quality.
