Punjab Revenue Officers Association calls for one day leave of Patwari, Kanungo, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar

Jalandhar, 21 May (STN): The General House of Punjab Revenue Officers Association (PROA) hold a meeting in Radison Hotel Zirakpur on 20.05.20. The meeting focused on discussions on various issues like arbitrary and wrongful suspensions, wrong charge sheets etc faced by Revenue officers. More than 100 members participated in the meeting. Immediate reason to hold general house is the illegal suspension of Naib Tehsildar Maur and his reader.

 

Patwari, Kanungo, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar will go on group leave on Monday. The Revenue Officers Association has alleged that the action taken against the Naib Tehsildar was done illegally.

 

The matter has heated up regarding Naib Tehsildar of Maud Mandi located in Bathinda. Protest is being expressed against the suspension of Naib Tehsildar of Maud Mandi, due to which the revenue officials have declared a mass holiday tomorrow.

 

Association’s General Secretary Vijay Behl said that if there is no action even after the action, then this holiday can be extended. He said that if no decision is taken on Monday, he will hold a meeting on Tuesday and take a decision on Wednesday.

 

According to the various reports, Naib Tehsildar Jagtar Singh posted in Maud Mandi area of District Bathinda has been suspended. Its being said that he has been accused that a person had gone to Naib Tehsildar to get his registry done but the registry was not done. After which that person spoke with MLA Sukhbir Singh Master khana. Naib Tehsildar was asked for the registry but he ignored it, due to which action has been taken against the Naib Tehsildar. According to the information, there was a meeting of the association last day, after which a resolution was found from their side that they will go on leave on Monday.
