Jalandhar, October 18(STN): Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal on Wednesday exhorted the people of Jalandhar to register them for the AB-Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana till November 30, 2023 and get a chance to win Rs 1 lakh.
Disclosing further details, the Deputy Commissioner said that the health department had started this offer to encourage the people to enroll them in maximum numbers under health insurance cover. He said that 10 lucky winners would be selected through a random draw and the first prize would be Rs 1 lakh, Rs 50,000 for second prize and Rs 25000 for third prize would be given. Similarly, the fourth prize will be of Rs 10000 and the fifth prize will be of Rs 8000. The sixth to tenth prizes will be of Rs 5000 each. He said that the draw would be held on December 4, 2023. He said that beneficiaries could easily get their cards through Ayushman App or visiting the website beneficiary.nha.gov.in or reaching out to empanelled hospitals.
Sarangal said that Jalandhar was on second position in Punjab with coverage of 263658 eligible families and generation of 643954 e-cards. The beneficiaries’ families encompass NFSA Ration Card holders, J-form-holding farmers, registered labourers, registered small traders, accredited and yellow card-holding Journalists .
He said that under the scheme, cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year is being offered in over 800 government and private empanelled hospitals across the state for 1600 types of treatments, including knee replacements, heart surgeries, cancer treatments etc.
