Jalandhar, July 31(STN)– Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal said that various programs will be organized in the district under Meri Mati-Mera Desh campaign, in which Panchayats will also be included. He said that this campaign has been started across the country under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, in which soil will be brought from different villages of the district and collected at the block level. Then taking soil from the block level, the youth will participate in the function to be held at the national level in New Delhi. He said that this type of sequence will happen across the country.
He said that various programs will be organized under this campaign, in which awareness campaign will also be started to ensure the involvement of the people. He said that this event would be dedicated to the soldiers who made sacrifices for the country. Similarly, a tree plantation campaign will also be launched, under which efforts will be made to increase awareness among people about the environment. The Deputy Commissioner said that this campaign has been started under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and in the coming days many programs would be organized under it in the district.
